About
Scholarships can open the doors to opportunities and experiences, and help diligent students access a level of school education that they may not otherwise be able to access, due to financial constraints.
The Sydney Scholarship Foundation Limited (SSF) is an independent Foundation which was established to advance the education of high-potential Australian children by providing full or partial scholarships for school study, provided there is an economic need for financial assistance.
The grant of a scholarship can be of significant assistance in helping such students pursue their dreams and achieve success in life.
Funding of the SSF fund is open to the public and is achieved via donations from members of the public, family trusts and charitable foundations. The SSF is a meaningful way to make a difference to the lives of Australian students, give back to our society, and invest in the future of Australia.

Yes. The following are conditions on the grant of an SSF scholarship:
1. It is likely, and at the Board’s discretion, that the grant of a scholarship be kept confidential by a grantee’s parents, so that a grantee hopefully has no knowledge of the scholarship until attaining at least 18 years of age. The SSF is mindful that the grant of a scholarship may have consequences for the lives of a grantee and his/her family. Accordingly, the SSF is keen to ensure the affairs of such families are kept confidential.
2. Donors to the Sydney Scholarship Fund may be updated on a “no-names” basis as to the progress of a student granted an SSF Scholarship.
3. The grant of a scholarship is an opportunity. Scholars are expected to maintain high standards in terms of the application of considerable effort to his/her studies and participation in co-curricular activities.
